Injury on duty

Injury-on-duty reporting, without missed deadlines.

Log each incident and track the seven-day reporting deadline. See what is overdue, what is due and what is still waiting on a hospital copy. Serious cases are flagged for a phone call.

What IODSeven does

  • Seven-day deadline tracking

An injury on duty must be reported within 7 days. Every incident shows its deadline, and overdue and due-soon cases rise to the top.

  • WCL2 forms

Each incident carries its WCL2 form and shows whether it has been submitted.

  • Part B follow-up

See at a glance which incidents are still waiting for the hospital copy.

  • Serious-case alerts

Serious cases are flagged so the Provincial Manager gets a phone call, not only a form.

  • Companies, employees and clinics

Keep the people and medical services each case involves together, and see them on a map.

  • A full audit trail

Activity and audit logs record who did what, and when.

A deadline that is easy to miss

Why injury reporting needs a system.

Under COIDA, the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, an injury on duty has to be reported within seven days. Each case involves several people and several documents: the employee, the employer, the clinic or hospital, the WCL2 form and the hospital's copy. When one administrator or consultant handles many companies, it is easy for a case to slip past its deadline unnoticed.

IODSeven shows every incident with its deadline, so overdue and due-soon cases rise to the top, and it tracks what is still outstanding on each one.

How it works

  1. LogThe incident, with the company, employee and clinic.
  2. TrackThe seven-day deadline and the WCL2 form.
  3. Follow upThe hospital copy (Part B), and a phone call for serious cases.
  4. RecordEvery action in the audit trail.

How an incident is handled

From the first log to the audit trail.

Log the incident

Record the incident against the company, the employee and the clinic or hospital involved. Companies, employees and medical services are kept together, and you can see them on a map.

Watch the deadline

Every incident shows its seven-day reporting deadline. The incidents screen counts what is overdue, what is due within 48 hours, what is awaiting Part B and which cases need a phone call, above a table of incidents and their deadlines.

Submit the WCL2 and follow up

Each incident carries its WCL2 form and shows whether it has been submitted. Part B follow-up shows at a glance which incidents are still waiting for the hospital copy.

Escalate serious cases

Serious cases are flagged so that the Provincial Manager gets a phone call, not only a form.

Keep a record

Activity and audit logs record who did what, and when, so a case can be explained later.

Who it’s for

Employers, health and safety consultants and administrators who report injuries on duty for one business or for many.

Screens show sample data. Every business reports a little differently, so the demo we build is shaped around yours: your companies, your forms and your branding.

IODSeven: common questions

What does IODSeven track?

For every incident it tracks the seven-day reporting deadline, whether the WCL2 form has been submitted, whether Part B, the hospital copy, is still outstanding, and whether the case is serious enough to need a phone call.

Can I manage injuries for more than one company?

Yes. IODSeven is built for employers, health and safety consultants and administrators who report injuries on duty for one business or for many. Companies, employees and clinics are kept together and shown on a map.

How do I know which cases need attention first?

Overdue and due-soon cases rise to the top. The incidents screen counts what is overdue, what is due within 48 hours, what is awaiting Part B and what needs a phone call.

Is there a record of who did what?

Yes. Activity and audit logs record who did what, and when.
